Dr. Brant Arnold has over a decade of experience providing dental implants and dentures to patients in Sparta, Roaring Gap, West Jefferson, Boone/Blowing Rock, Independence and Galax.
Many patients require a full replacement of their upper or lower teeth, whether due to age, gum disease, or accidental injury. This is done by extracting the remaining teeth and installing dental implants and affixing a permanent, implant-supported denture.
An implant-supported denture is a type of over-denture that is supported by and attached to dental implants. This is the best option when a person doesn’t have any teeth in the jaw, but has enough bone to support dental implants. Dental implants can also help eliminate the need for metal clasps that are sometimes used to hold the partial in place. This is especially beneficial in esthetic areas like the front teeth.
