The American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry recommends children establish a dental home when the first tooth erupts or by age 1. Teeth can begin to decay as soon as they erupt. These early visits accomplish several important goals:
- Establishes trust.
- Allows the child to become familiar with having their mouth examined and shows them that a dental visit can be easy & painless.
- Allows the parents or caregivers to gain an understanding of how to care for the child’s teeth to prevent dental issues before they begin.
We start seeing children from infancy through adulthood. We have the experience and qualifications to care for a child’s teeth, gums, and mouth throughout the various stages of childhood.
